The Molesworth Arms Public Bar
The Molesworth Arms Bar is a meeting place, for locals and visitors alike, serving superb pub grub washed down with great local ales and a thoughtful wine and spirits list. This beautiful, rustic 16th-century Cornish coaching inn, in the heart of Wadebridge, was named after the Molesworth family when they were appointed by Queen Elizabeth as Auditor to the Duchy of Cornwall in the late 1500s. It still has much of its original charm today, with traditional hardwood panels, attractive stonework walls and big open fireplaces.
Recently, it’s been given a good dose of TLC (and investment) to increase the comfort while still staying sympathetic to the past. The walls are adorned with old photographs and paraphernalia while the tables, chairs and sofas are set up for relaxed dining if you want to eat in the bar.
If you prefer you inns outside, there’s a great outdoor terrace where in the summer, weather permitting, you’ll see barbies set up and fresh pizzas coming out of our wood-fired oven every few minutes.
There’s always something going on at ‘The Moley’
We love supporting good local talent. There’s live music every Friday and Saturday night so check the events calendar to see who’s playing here next. It’s a big spacious bar with good acoustics and a great atmosphere. We also hold regular quiz nights and for sports fans, we roll out the plasma screens for big events.
