With its central position in North Cornwall, Wadebridge offers the best of all worlds.
It’s only a few miles from the coast, where you can sunbathe on the stunning beaches of Polzeath and Watergate Bay, a short drive to the lively harbour town of Padstow (nicknamed Padstein, due to the numerous top-class restaurants now run by chef Rick Stein), or a little way up the coast, explore Port Isaac, setting for the hit TV series Doc Martin.
Venturing inland, take a spin across the wild granite uplands of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall’s cherished area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sometimes desolate, always beautiful, Bodmin Moor is a wonderful place for a summer picnic, birdwatching, hiking and superb game fishing at Colliford Lake. Access is easy off the A39.
Further afield, fast connections means it’s an easy drive to Cornwall’s capital Truro with its magnificent cathedral and excellent shopping, the world famous Eden Project.
